The Herndon High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) conducted its Senior Night and Change of Command ceremony on May 8. Graduating seniors were honored and relieved of their duties as a new command group was ushered in. The ceremony is a time-honored tradition that formally symbolizes the continuity of authority as the command is passed from one individual to another. After the change of command, members of the JROTC received awards and were promoted in rank based on their achievements during the previous school year.
