Potomac District Supervisor Andrea McGimsey reports that noticeable construction along Route 28 near its merge with Route 7 in Loudoun County is for a new headquarters for the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation.
In addition, the Art Institute of Washington-Northern Virginia, will occupy 20,000 square feet of space in the "neon" office building (known for the building's exterior lighting after dark) on the other side of Route 28 at Dulles Center Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard. Classes began Oct. 5. The institute offers bachelor and associate degree programs.
She adds that Ashley Furniture plans to occupy 30,000 square feet of retail space in the Dulles Town Crossing shopping center on Nokes Boulevard east of Route 28.
