Towne Square Singers Welcome New Director
The Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department has appointed Harlon Reece as the Herndon Towne Square Singers choral director. Reece brings to the role a wealth of music and leadership skills, with more than 50 years of choral experience and four terms on the Town Council. His conducting experience includes music director of a military chorus in the Marine Corps, director of several church choirs and as assistant director of the Town Square Singers since 1995. Reece has a masters degree in management and an undergraduate degree in music education.

Town Offices Closed for Thanksgiving
Town of Herndon government offices and services will be impacted by the Thanksgiving holiday as follows:
Town Offices - Closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27.
No refuse collected Thursday, Nov. 26. Refuse normally collected on Thursday will be collected Friday, Nov. 27.
Herndon Community Center -Closed Thursday, Nov. 26, Open Friday, Nov. 27, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Herndon Centennial Golf Course - Open Thursday, Nov. 26, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 27, 7 a.m. – dark.
