U.S. Rep. Jim Moran joined elected leaders, military officials and more than 300 students at Ft. Belvoir on Friday, Nov. 13, to take part in ceremonies reaffirming the base’s commitment to the community and honoring the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. The congressman joined Fort Belvoir Installation Commander Col. Jerry Blixt and other leaders at an early morning ceremony organized by the Mt. Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce to reaffirm the mutual bonds between the base and the greater Mt. Vernon community.
