To spread awareness of the victims of domestic violence, the Robinson Secondary School DECA chapter put on its annual fashion show on Wednesday, Jan. 13. With the theme "Game Time is Anytime," the show included students modeling clothes showcasing eight scenes based on children’s board games.

Working with the Richmond-based charity Stuffed with Love, DECA members also collected toys to be donated to children in domestic abuse shelters in Northern Virginia. Amelia Kakar, one of DECA’s Advanced Fashion Marketing students, auditioned her idea against 12 other concepts. Her fellow DECA members picked her concept as the theme for the Jan. 13 show.

The following businesses provided support and products for the show: Paul Mitchell School, DELiA*s, and Jessica McClintock in Tyson’s Corner; Banana Republic in Potomac Mills; Papaya and Lord and Taylor in Fair Oaks Mall, The Men’s Wearhouse in Springfield, Clifton Saddelry, Fairfax Hudson Trail Outfitters, LAX World, Burke Sporting Goods and Alpha Industries Distribution Company.
