Microsoft is coming to Reston Town Center. The worldwide technology and software leader has signed a lease with Terrabrook and Boston Properties to move into Two Discovery Square in Reston. The company will occupy 50,000 square feet in the lower four levels of the nine story building which is scheduled to be completed in May.

The Discovery Square complex is located on a ten-acre property at Sunset Hills Road and Reston Parkway. It is connected to the Reston Town Center by a pedestrian bridge over the Washington and Old Dominion trail.

One Discovery Square, a mirror building to Two Discovery Square, is already occupied by Siebel Systems and the law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.

Alliance Bank has leased approximately 3,800 square feet in the Plaza America Tower IV in Reston, Virginia for its third full-service banking location in Northern Virginia. An August opening is planned for the bank branch, which will feature an expansion of its private client services.

LeapFrog Solutions in Fairfax recently unveiled the web site for the American Cancer Society Reston Relay For Life, www.restonrelay.org. LeapFrog will be hosting and maintaining the site as part of its in-kind corporate sponsorship of the Reston Relay For Life. The site is the primary source for information about the June 8-9 event at South Lakes High School.

Reston Connex - Young Professionals Group will begin meeting in April. This network of peers will meet to discuss current business issues and socialize. Local businesses are invited to participate in the Reston Community Center's Prom Expo on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Florists, clothing retailers, restaurants, hair stylists, limousine rentals, and other enterprises that cater to Prom goers are invited to promote their services at the Expo. All participants are encouraged to do demonstrations, provide samples and door prizes, and make appointments and reservations on-site. The RCC is not charging to set up a table at the Prom Expo. However, space is limited and registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
