More than 90 people testified before County Council on the pending Montgomery County Budget. Two more public hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with 60 more signed up to testify.
People in the community have an opportunity to voice their opinions on the budget by submitting written testimony. The public record remains open until the County Council votes and approves the FY 03 Operating Budget, currently scheduled for May 23. However, the Council's various committees will meet from April 11 - May 2, so councilmembers appreciate receiving written testimony as soon as possible.
The full Council will hold budget worksessions from May 6- May 17.
