Crime Reports

<i>The following incidents were reported by the Arlington County Police Department:</i>

<b>BANK ROBBERY</b>

<b>4200 Wilson Blvd.</b> Around 10:55 a.m. on April 15, an unknown subject entered the bank approached a teller and gave her a note stating "give me all your money, no bait, I have a gun". The teller complied. The subject took the money in hand and fled the bank by means unknown. Approximately $3,681 in cash was taken. The suspect is described as a white male, 30-year-old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, medium build and complexion, wearing a blue or black nylon sweat suit and a blue or black baseball cap. No weapon was seen, however one was implied.

<b>ARMED ROBBERY</b>

<b>500 N. Oxford St. and 200 N. Glebe Road.</b> At approximately 9:05 p.m. on April 10, the first victim, a 34-year-old female, was walking down the street when a vehicle passed her and pulled to a stop. An unknown female subject exited the vehicle and approached the victim, placing a handgun in the victim's stomach. The victim removed her purse and handed it to the subject. The subject returned to the vehicle and left the scene heading northbound on Oxford Street.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., the second victim, a 37-year-old male, had just withdrawn cash from an ATM when an unknown female subject put a gun to his chest and said something the victim did not understand. The victim handed over his wallet and the subject left the scene.

Later that evening, officers stopped a vehicle in response to a lookout that was broadcast as a result of these two robberies. Both victims positively identified a female in the vehicle as the subject who robbed them. She was arrested and charged with robbery. Three juvenile subjects in the vehicle were also arrested and face robbery, conspiracy and weapons charges.

<b>ROBBERY <b>

<b>2300 Clarendon Blvd.</b> Around 5:42 p.m. on April 18, the victim, a 41-year-old female was opening her car door when she was approached from the rear by an unknown subject. The subject put a piece of clothing over the victim's head and demanded to know how much money she had. He hit her a number of times about the face then pushed her inside her vehicle and snatched her purse. The subject ordered the victim to remain inside her vehicle, in which she did and he fled the scene with the purse. No suspect description was obtained.

2400 S. Shirlington Road.</b> Around 6:10 p.m. on April 17, the victim a 39-year-old male was walking on Shirlington Road when an unknown subject began to follow him. The subject approached the victim and snatched his wallet from his shirt pocket, ripping the shirt in the process. The subject then fled the scene on foot with the wallet. The suspect is described as a black male, 48 years of age, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, wearing a red polo shirt, tan shorts and tan boots.

4700 N. Lee Highway.</b> At approximately 11 a.m. on April 12, the victim, an 80-year-old male, was leaving a retail store when the first subject held the door open for him. As the victim tried to exit, subject dropped his keys and bent to pick them up, repeatedly bumping into the victim and moving him in the direction of the second subject. Both subjects then rushed past the victim and got into a vehicle. The victim then realized his wallet was missing. The first suspect is described as a black male, 30 years of age, 6 feet 1 inch tall, slim build, mustache, wearing dark clothing and a gray sport coat. The second suspect is described as a black male, 55-60 years of age, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, slight/medium build, wearing an English travelers cap, dark clothing and speaking with a country accent. The suspect vehicle was described as a late model, black 4D sedan.

2400 N. Fillmore St.</b> At approximately 3:20 a.m. on April 14, the victim, a 27-year-old female prostitute, was approached in D.C. by two unknown male subjects in a vehicle who offered her money for sex. The victim agreed and entered the vehicle. The three drove into Arlington and parked in a parking lot. After performing sexual acts with both subjects in the back seat of the vehicle, the victim told the subjects she needed to leave. The subjects told the victim to get into the front seat of the vehicle. As she did so, the first subject grabbed her by the hair and threw her against a chain link fence. He then grabbed her purse and both subjects fled the scene in the vehicle. The first suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 26-27 years of age, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, muscular build, short black hair, brown eyes, wearing a black button-down shirt and black slacks. The second suspect is described as a white male, possibly Greek, 26-27 years of age, 6 feet tall, muscular build, short brown hair, brown eyes, wearing a black button-down shirt and black slacks. The vehicle was described as a yellow Ford Mustang.

<b>ASSAULT BY MOB</b>

<b>1100 S. George Mason Drive, 7-11.</b> Around 3:30 a.m. on April 19, the victim a 27-year-old male employee walked outside the store and approached three unknown subjects who were hanging around the storefront. One of the subjects asked the victim what he was looking at, and then in unison all three subjects began to punch the victim. The subjects fled the scene in a red vehicle. The suspects were described as black males in all dark clothing. The victim received a small cut to the inside of his mouth.

<b>MALICIOUS WOUNDING</b>

<b>1000 N. Glebe Road.</b>Around 9:45 a.m. on April 15, the victim a 32-year-old male was attempting to tow an illegally parked vehicle when he was struck twice by another vehicle, whose driver had blocked him in and was trying to stop him from towing the vehicle. This driver then exited his vehicle and a struggle ensued. The victim was bit on his right arm. Arrested was Charles Kirker Voorhees of 8107 Yorktown Drive in Alexandria.

<b>BURGLARY<b>

<b>1700 N. Moore St.</b> Sometime between 6 p.m. on April 15 and 8:30 a.m. on April 16, an unknown person pried open the office door and stole a $2,500 laptop computer and its $75 leather case.

800 N. Frederick St.</b> Sometime between 03:30 a.m. on April 11 and 8:01 p.m. on April 15, an unknown subject entered the garage by means unknown. Once inside a $200 craftsman miter saw was taken.

2100 N. 18th St.</b> Sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 15, an unknown subject entered the apartment by cutting and removing a rear window screen then unlocking the window. Once inside a $2,000 NEC laptop, a $100 Samsung cell phone and a $300 blue Marin Kentfield bicycle and helmet were taken.

900 S. Wakefield St.</b> At approximately 10 a.m., the victim, a 38-year-old male, returned to his office and found the door slightly ajar. An inventory of the contents of the office revealed that two computer monitors, one desktop computer, one laptop computer and an undetermined amount of cash were missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

1700 S. Taylor St.</b> On April 13, the first victim, a 54-year-old female, and several friends were moving items from an apartment when an unknown male subject was found inside the apartment holding a TV. When confronted, the subject put the TV down and left the premises. The second victim, a 41-year-old female, later noticed that her cell phone was missing. The second victim and a friend went to look for the subject and found him in a nearby park. The subject denied having the cell phone. The second victim then dialed her cell phone number. The phone, located somewhere on the subject's person, began to ring. The subject left the park and was later arrested. Donald Cunningham, 36 years of age, of 8020 Little River Turnpike in Fairfax, was charged with unlawful entry, grand larceny and petit larceny. Cunningham was also wanted by City of Fairfax police for burglary.

1600 S. 28th St.</b> At approximately 9 a.m. on April 13, the victim, a 15-year-old male, woke up in his apartment and discovered that a television was missing from the living room. A window screen next to the back door had been cut to allow access to the door lock.

<b>BREAKING & ENTERING</b>

<b>800 S. Oak St.</b> On April 14, the victim, a 30-year-old female, returned home at approximately 8 p.m. to find her front door unlocked and her dog in the yard. The dog was inside the home when the victim left. Nothing appears to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry.

<b>PEEPING TOM</b>

<b>1200 S. Hayes St.</b> At approximately 7:48 p.m. on April 12, a witness reported seeing an unknown male subject peeking through a gap in the partition separating two stalls in a public men's restroom in the Pentagon City mall. The victim, a 35-year-old male, then reported that the subject was using a small handheld mirror to look under the partition. As the subject exited the stall, he was confronted by ACPD officers and denied any wrongdoing. A small mirror was found in the stall. The victim declined to press charges, so the subject was issued a "banned" notice by mall security and escorted from the premises.
