<sh>Lake Anne Needs Entertainers

<bt>The Lake Anne Merchants and Professionals Committee is calling for entertainers for Saturday performances on Lake Anne Plaza during summer 2002. Anyone who plays an instrument, sings songs, perform magic tricks, or does anything else that requires an audience, should contact the committee. Seasoned performers are welcome to apply. All performances, however, are non-paying and performers must register beforehand (open guitar cases and passed hats are acceptable). All reasonable entries will be considered. The Lake Anne Merchants and Professionals Committee is also making plans for a monthly art walk at the Lake Anne Village Center. The walks will take place on Sunday afternoons into the early evening hours and they will be in conjunction with Lake Anne's Sunday Concert Series. Artists of all mediums are invited to participate. <sh>Upcoming Southgate Meeting

<bt>There will be a community meeting on programming for the Southgate Recreation Center on Wednesday, May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dogwood Elementary School, 12300 Glade Drive.

<sh>NWF Top Ten Green

<bt>The American Institute of Architects has named the National Wildlife Federation's Reston headquarters in its annual top 10 green projects. The award is given to projects that address significant environmental challenges with designs that integrate architecture, technology and natural systems.

Selected by a jury of architects, the winning projects were evaluated for their contribution to their site's ecosystems, connections to the surrounding community, use of high-performance technology, energy use and sensitive use of materials and resources.

<sh>No Bills Night

<bt>On Tuesday, May 7, from 6:30 to 8:30, local residents will be given free, 10-minute legal consultations. During that two-hour period, residents can call 703-790-1911 for their consultations. Local attorneys will be providing their services for this event, dubbed "No Bills Night." Calls will be confidential and free-of-charge. The event is sponsored by the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar.
