The following incidents were reported by the Town of Vienna Police Department.

<cal1>Arrest

<cal2>300 block of Old Courthouse Road, N.E. — 2:01 a.m., April 13. During a traffic stop, Carolina Cid, 22, of Vienna, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

<cal1>Grand Larceny

<cal2>Magruder's Grocery, 180 Maple Ave. W. — 12:57 p.m., April 12. A wallet was taken from a shopper's purse.

100 block of Kingsley Road, S.W. — 1:41 p.m., April 15. A chainsaw and a bicycle were reported taken from an unlocked garage at a house.

<cal1>Vandalism

<cal2>500 block of McArthur Avenue N.E. — Between 11 p.m., April 11 and 2 p.m., April 12. A mailbox was damaged at a house.

300 block of Center Street N. — Between 8:30 p.m., April 11 and 9 a.m., April 12. Two vehicles parked in this block were damaged by having an unknown substance poured over them.

600 block of Echols Street S.E. — Between 1:30 and 10:30 a.m., April 13. A window was broken on a car parked at a house.

Patrick Henry Library, 101 Maple Ave. E. — 11:15 a.m., April 17. A window was reported broken at the library.

<cal1>Petit Larceny

<cal2>400 block of Maple Avenue W. — Between 4:20 and 4:40 p.m., April 15. A purse was taken from a van parked in a parking lot. There was no sign of forced entry.

Radio Shack, 320 Maple Ave. W — Between 11:25 and 11:38 a.m., April 18. A cellular phone was taken from the counter of the business.

Attempted Robbery

200 block of Cedar Lane S.E. — 11:20 p.m., April 12 (reported April 18). The resident of an apartment was accosted on the building stairway by an armed man who demanded money. When the suspect saw the apartment door and was told by the victim that other people were inside, the suspect fled in a car.

<cal1>Robbery

<cal2>Cunningham Park Elementary School grounds, 1001 Park St., S.E. — 9:30 a.m., April 14. Two 16-year-old Vienna boys reported that they were approached by a vehicle occupied by a young female and three young males. One of the male suspects tried to strike one of the boys with a baseball bat and demanded the boy's cigarettes. Another male suspect punched the boy and took his baseball cap.
