Nottoway Park offers tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts as well as a garden and picnic areas and a fitness trail as well as a wooded nature path. To reserve the tennis courts there is a fee. The courts can be reserved from 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m. for groups only. Three courts must be reserved minimal. For Fairfax County residents it costs $7 per court per hour and $12 for non-residents per court per hour. Glyndon Park (Vienna), 300 Glyndon St. N.E.
The park has two lighted tennis courts, a field, basketball courts, a picnic area, and playground equipment. The pavilion can be reserved for picnics. To reserve the areas for as many as 75 people, it costs $25 for a maximum of five hours if the group is from Vienna, and $50 for a maximum of five hours for other groups. The park is home to many concerts and performances from a variety of artists as well as the Wolf Trap Opera Company. The center offers an Olympic size pool, a whirlpool spa, sauna, dry sundeck, weight and fitness room, two racquetball courts, two small meeting rooms, and an outdoor miniature golf area. The pool is open on Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The general hours of operation as well as the times all courts and rooms are available are, Monday-Friday from 5 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Miniature golf is open from 10 a.m.-dusk from June 15 through Labor Day. Daily general admission fees for Fairfax County residents are, adults $5.50, youth (5-18 years old) $3.75, students(18-21 years old) $3.75, children (0-4 years old) free with a paying adult, senior, Monday-Friday, $3.75, and $5.50 for Saturday, Sunday and holidays, families with up to four members and up to two being adults are $12, chaperones who don't participate with paying child are $1.50. For non-residents, adults, youth and seniors are $7.50, children (0-4 years old) are free, and families with up to four members with up to two adults are $22. Washington & Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park (Ashburn), 21293 Smiths Switch Road
Running through Northern Virginia, the 45-mile-long W&OD Trail is used daily by cyclists, in-line skaters, hikers and joggers. Between Vienna and Purcellville, there is a separate 35-mile trail for horses. The trail follows the old W&OD Railroad's abandoned right of way from Shirlington Circle at I-395 in south Arlington through Fairfax County to Purcellville in Loudoun County. The W&OD Trail Guide may be purchased at any regional park for $4.50 or is available by mail from the above address for $5.75.
