Credit Union is Robbed

The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday at the Commonwealth One credit union at 4875 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

Police said that at approximately 11:45 a.m., a man entered the credit union and approached the teller. While no weapon was displayed, the employee complied with the robber's request for money. The suspect fled from the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 35 years old and 5-feet 7-inches tall. He is clean-shaven, and was last seen wearing a waist-length black jacket, black pants, white shirt and black tie.
