The sixth graders at Wolftrap Elementary showed parents their artwork at an Art Show on Thursday. All sixth graders take one elective, in watercolor painting, photography, scrapbook making, cooking, drama, technology, or strategy games. While the artists displayed their artwork along the hallway, the cooking class made cookies for visitors.
"I think it is extraordinary," said sixth grade teacher Ellen Collins, who taught watercolor painting to her class. "I never thought that elementary school students could do work like this. They developed their own style."
