<cal2>Flowers and Music. The Old Yankee Framer hosts a one-man show featuring the works of local artist Rene Dickerson. The exhibit will be on display at The Old Yankee Framer in Ashburn Village and run throughout July. Free artist's receptions will take place at The Old Yankee Framer on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. both nights. Nature Adventure Camp for children entering grades 2-6 at Claude Moore Park, 21544 Cascades Parkway, Sterling. July 29-Aug. 9 from 9 to 3 p.m. Cost: $300/10 sessions. In this two-week camp the children will learn about animals and plants, play nature games, do crafts and make a camp T-shirt. Bring snack, lunch and water every day. A progressive educational program for children 2-4 years begins in September in Sterling. The learning program for preschool children provides an appropriately free environment for a child to engage in imaginative play and uncover their creative genius. The curriculum brings together artistic, academic and practical applications to learning, emphasizing the whole child. Limited enrollment available. The Loudoun Museum, Morven Park and the 8th Virginia Infantry Reenactment Group offers the third annual children's Civil War Camp on July 15-19, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kids aged 8-13 experience life during the Civil War through hands-on activities. Civil War camp life, music and drills will be explored and various Civil War 'outfits' will be available to try on. The camp fee is $100, which covers lunch and all materials for the week. Saturday, May 4-Sunday, October 27: Free, guided tours of the site of the October 21, 1861, Battle of Ball's Bluff, will be lead by volunteers. They will tell about the largest Civil War engagement in Loudoun County. For more information call 703-737-7800.
