<cal2>The Rainbow Entertainment Company, Inc. will be performing interactive children's theater at all Loudoun County Public Library branches between Monday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 31. Children will have the opportunity to volunteer to bring the presentations to life with the scenery and props provided. Teen Book Buzz, a teen book discussion group with games, snacks and lots of fun will be held at Eastern Loudoun Regional Library, 21030 Whitfield Pl., Sterling (Cascades) on Thursday, July 18 at 3 p.m. The program is recommended for teens ages 12 to 18. Please register prior to the discussion date. Call the Eastern Loudoun Regional Library youth services desk at 703.444.3228 extension 309 or come by the library for a copy of the book.

One-on-One Internet training at Eastern Loudoun Regional Library, Sundays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m., and at Purcellville Library (call 540-338-7235 for dates). Body Art at the Eastern Loudoun Regional Library on Friday, July 26 at 12 p.m. Program recommended for teens ages 12 and up. Wear old clothes. Paint, stencils and jewels will be provided by the library. Registration required. Call 703-444-3228, ext. 309.

Summer book discussions at Eastern Loudoun Regional Library, 21080 Whitfield Place, Sterling (Cascades). "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" by John Berendt will be discussed on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Members discuss the book they have read during the previous month and get a copy of the book selected for the next month’s discussion. "Share Your Voice" Art Exhibit Reception. Saturday, July 20, 3-4 p.m. The exhibit, which features art, poetry, photography and sculpture created by teens, will be displayed for friends, family and visitors. Sign up for the exhibit and reception by July 15.

Writing Workshop with Clark Hansbarger. Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg. Thursday, Aug. 22 and 29, 7-9 p.m. Participants will explore the symbiotic relationship between conflict, character and setting, seeking ways to enhance those elements in their own writing. Participants should come with a sample of work, ready to share and ready to write. Clark Hansbarger is a recipient of a PEN syndicate Fiction Award, a fellowship in creative writing from the National Endowment for the Arts and writing grants from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and UVA's Center for the Liberal Arts. His fiction has appeared in numerous publications. He teaches in Clark County's International Baccalaureate program for high school seniors. Maximum class size is 20. Register by Aug. 12.
