<cal2>Summer Suess Stories at UUS. Children and adults alike can look forward to "The Lorax," "The First of Octember" and "King Looie Katz," to name a few that will be read every Sunday until Sept. 1. The Unitarian Universalists meet for worship Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at the Sterling Community Center Annex at the intersection of W. Church Road and Shaw Road. Knitting and Crochet Group. For women who are 55 years of age and older. Meet at the Loudoun County Senior Center at Cascades Marketplace each Friday at 10 a.m. to make afghans, lap robes, baby hats and sweaters. The group has donated over 300 items to the Loudoun County Homeless Shelter, the Northern Virginia Ronald McDonald House, the Loudoun Hospital Center and the Long Term Care Unit at Loudoun Hospital. The yarn is donated to the Senior Center from individuals in the community and from the Good Shepherd Alliance Inc. The group is accepting donations of yarn and needles and donations to purchase yarn, that will help continue with the special projects. Bluemont Concert Series. Sundays, June 16-Aug. 25 with no concert on Aug. 18. 5:30-10:30 p.m. on North King St. from Cornwall St. to Loudoun St. and Market St. from Church St. to Wirt St. in downtown Leesburg.

Nature Adventure Camp for children entering grades 2-6 at Claude Moore Park, 21544 Cascades Parkway, Sterling. July 29-Aug. 9 from 9-3 p.m. Cost: $300/10 sessions. In this two-week camp the children will learn about animals and plants, play nature games, do crafts and make a camp T-shirt. Bring snack, lunch and water every day. A progressive educational program for children 2-4 years begins in September in Sterling. The learning program for preschool children provides an appropriately free environment for a child to engage in imaginative play and uncover their creative genius. The curriculum brings together artistic, academic and practical applications to learning, emphasizing the whole child. Limited enrollment available. The Loudoun Museum, Morven Park offers a Colonial Camp for children ages 7-12 on Aug. 12-16 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Colonial campers will reenact a 'mock congress,' explore the American Revolution and Native American life and hear folk tales. Saturday, May 4-Sunday, Oct. 27: Free, guided tours of the site of the Oct. 21, 1861, Battle of Ball's Bluff, will be lead by volunteers. They will tell about the largest Civil War engagement in Loudoun County. For more information call 703-737-7800.
