Registration has started for the Herndon Community Center's Preschool Play Camp program. Camp for ages 3-4 will take place 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.. and camp for ages 4-5 will take place 1-3 p.m. The Preschool Play Camp runs Monday through Friday, from June 17-Aug. 9, with four two-week sessions. Reston/Herndon residents are invited to participate in Community Yoga Classes. Reston classes are scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 6 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Brown's Chapel. Herndon classes are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 5 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Friends Meeting House. Cost is $18 for the introductory class. Additional weekly classes at these locations will follow as part of this new six week session. A portion of the proceeds received will be donated to Reston Interfaith to help others in the community. The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department has begun registration for its summer camps. The camps that are being offered are Preschool Play Camp for ages 3-5, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1-3:30 p.m.; Summer Fun for ages 6-11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended care available; and Teen Discovery for ages 12-15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All camps take place at the Herndon Community Center and meet Monday-Friday. Amputee Support Group Of Northern Virginia is a support group for amputees, their families and friends.
