Stanley Martin Companies earned five awards at MAME's 25-year anniversary event. MAME awards are earned by home builders that achieve the highest level of marketing excellence in the Washington Metropolitan area. Awards won included were "Best Print Advertising" in the category of black and white ad half page and under, "Best Interior Merchandising" in the category of attached homes over $450,000, and "Best Special Promotion or Event" for its community of Waterfront at Beacon Hill, overlooking Lake Audubon in Reston. Two individuals from Stanley Martin's sales team also received awards: Mort Tuttle, "Rookie of the Year", and Wendy Bellino, "Salesperson of the Year" in the category of detached new home sales, $350,000-$450,000.

Awards won included "Best Print Advertising" in the category of color ad campaign by a builder, "Best Direct Mail Piece" for its community in Oakton Village, "Best Direct Mail Campaign" for its community in Governor's Square, and "Best Interior Merchandising" in the category of detached homes between $470,000 and $550,000 for its community of Lansdowne on the Potomac.
