Mr. and Mrs. Alfred L. Wolff announce the engagement of their son Raymond A. Wolff to Tricia Ferrell.

The bride-to-be is from Holton, Kan. She is a graduate of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., where she received a bachelors of science degree in engineering in 1994. She earned a masters of science in engineering and public policy from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., in 1995.

The future groom is a 1988 alumnus of South Lakes High School in Reston and a 1992 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a bachelors degree in applied mathematics from the school of engineering. In 1998, he earned a PhD. in economics from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Ferrell is a manager at Telution, Inc. and Raymond Wolff is a senior manager for Arthur Andersen in Chicago, Ill.

The couple plans a September wedding in Chicago.

Meg Eichler, a rising junior at the College of William and Mary, is attending the University at Muenster, Germany this summer session. The Muenster Program at William and Mary is coordinated with the German language programs at Sweet Briar and Vassar Colleges.

Benjamin David Hurwitz of Reston accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and will be honored during a campus ceremony this fall at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Erin Bokel of Reston and enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University was honored at the University's 148th annual commencement ceremony May12 as an academic degree candidate. Erin will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in physchology.
