<bt>Through March 26, Great Falls United Methodist Church will offer a series of Lenten Services on Tuesday nights from 8-8:45 p.m. in the sanctuary. Reverend Richard Keller has designed these services to be a time of quiet reflection and prayer.

The public is also invited to the regular Tuesday night, 7 p.m., prayer meeting in the parlor, led by Dick and Bettey Bruss and followed by the Lenten Service. The Arlington-Fairfax Jewish Congregation is hosting the only Shabbat Across America celebration on March 8 in the DC area. The evening includes a traditional Shabbat (Sabbath) service at 6:15 p.m. featuring Rabbi Lia Bass, the first female head rabbi of a Conservative congregation in the Washington area, followed by a traditional Shabbat dinner at about 7:15 p.m., featuring the world premiere of Flory Jagoda y Los Amigos, singing Jewish and Latino songs. The Shabbat service is free for anyone interested in attending to worship or to learn more about Jewish traditions. The dinner is $15 for adults, $7.50 for children up to 18, free for children 5 and under. Call the Congregation Office (703-979-4466) to reserve a space.
