Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton came to Potomac this Sunday to celebrate Molly Shriver's birthday, and help raise money for her father, Del. Mark K. Shriver (D-15) and his bid for the Democratic nomination for the House of Representatives.
More than 300 parents and children watched Hamilton skate (and perform one of his flips) at A.R.C. Ice Sports in Rockville.
Later, Hamilton joined the Shrivers at the Potomac home of Rachel and Tom Sullivan, who have recently built their own ice-skating rink.
Shriver will face three opponents including Sen. Christopher Van Hollen (D), Ira Shapiro (D) and Debra Volmer in the September Democratic primary. The winner will take on U.S. Rep. Connie Morella (R-8) in the November general election.
