<bt>Through March 26, Great Falls United Methodist Church will offer a series of Lenten Services on Tuesday nights from 8-8:45 p.m. in the sanctuary. Reverend Richard Keller has designed these services to be a time of quiet reflection and prayer.

The public is also invited to the regular Tuesday night, 7 p.m., prayer meeting in the parlor, led by Dick and Bettey Bruss and followed by the Lenten Service. "From Understanding Comes Appreciation," an interfaith discussion sponsored by the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, the Shoreshim Jewish Community and St. Thomas a Becket Church, will take place on Sunday, March 17. The public is invited to attend the discussion which features panelists representing the three Abrahamic religions. Panelists include Michael L. Feshbach, Senior Rabbi at Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase; Father John Langan, S.J., Ph.D., the Joseph Cardinal Bernadin Professor of Catholic Social Thought at Georgetown University; David Aikman, Senior Fellow with the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C.; and Hashim El-Tinay, Founder and President of the Salam Sudan Foundation in Washington, D.C. An open question and answer

session will follow short presentations by each panelist.

The 7 p.m. discussion will take place at the NVHC, 1441 Wiehle Avenue, Reston.

Three Views of One God will be the topic of an April 7 panel discussion at Vienna's Church of the Good Shepherd. The church is hosting the 7:30 p.m. event in collaboration with the Institute on Religion and Public Policy in Washington, D.C. The panel will help people understand the paradox of "if all the major religions of the world promote peace, why is it that we find ourselves waging so many wars in the name of God?" The Church of the Good Shepherd is a United Methodist church located at 2351 Hunter Mill Rd., Vienna.

Reston Community Church celebrates Generosity Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Children will demonstrate how Moses and the Israelites dealt with shortages in their 40-year march through the wilderness. Other activities include a puppet show, a craft, a video clip and much more. The event will take place at Reston Community Church, 2254-L Hunter Woods Village Center, Reston.
