Churchill High Column

Video and possibly audio cameras are now in every main hallway in Churchill. The school has cunningly covered up the cameras with black, circular, disco looking spheres, which are integrated into the ceiling.

Security has become a way of life, but senior Matt Naimoli says, "I think it is good to have the cameras in front of the school and at the exits. However, I wonder if the cameras in the hallways are intruding on our privacy. Hopefully, the new surveillance will solve and prevent vandalism problems."

College acceptances and decisions are the main focus of the seniors. The first part of the game, the admissions process, is over. The next part of the game is finding out and deciding on the right college.

"The whole process has been very strenuous. I would suggest to the junior students, that they should begin the application process early,” senior vice president Mike Birns says. “Otherwise, your parents will be on your case forever. Also, don't worry about a rejection because the right college is out there for you."

Despite the increased number of applications to colleges this year, most seniors are satisfied with their acceptances. Good luck to all seniors this year.
