<i>The following incidents were reported by the Arlington County Police Department:</i>
<b>BURGLARY</b>
<b>1900 block of North 16th Street.</b> At approximately 4 p.m. on April 27, the victim, a 48-year-old male, returned home to find that unknown subject(s) had entered the house by breaking a pane in a door that connected the porch to the house. An inventory of the residence revealed that a pizza had been removed from the refrigerator and apparently heated, using a microwave in a second-floor bedroom. Nothing else was reported missing or disturbed.
<b>5900 block of North Wilson Boulevard.</b> At approximately 4:45 p.m. on April 28, the victim, a 51-year-old female, returned home to find that unknown subject(s) had entered her home by breaking out a window pane in an exterior rear door and apparently reaching in to unlock the door. An inventory of the residence revealed that several items, including numerous pieces of jewelry, blank checks, a U.S. passport, savings bonds and two crystal bowls, were missing. The subject(s) evidently exited through the front door, which was found unlocked and slightly ajar.
<b>2100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.</b> Sometime between 6:30 a.m. on May 1 and 7 a.m. on May 2, an unknown subject pried open the front door to an apartment. Once the intruder was inside, an undetermined amount of coins were taken.
<b>2600 block of South First Road.</b> At approximately 7 a.m. on May 1, the victim, a 41-year-old male, discovered that unknown subject(s) took four rolls of carpet from a house he was working on. There were no signs of forced entry. An inspection of the residence revealed that a portable toilet had also been tampered with.
<b>4000 block of North 18th Road.</b> At approximately 10 a.m. on April 24, the victim, a 62-year-old male, discovered that unknown subject(s) had apparently entered his residence and removed several pieces of electronic equipment including a TV/VCR combo unit and a tape/CD stereo unit. There was no evidence of forced entry.
<b>1400 block of North Ohio Street.</b> At approximately 3:30 p.m. on April 30, the victim, a 40-year-old male, discovered that the door to his garage was open. When he last was at the garage, the door was closed and locked. The victim also noticed that a rear window to the garage had been opened and that some items in the garage had been disturbed. An inventory of the garage revealed that unknown subject(s) had removed several power tools including nail guns, saws and drills.
<b>ARMED ROBBERY</b>
<b>5500 block of South Columbia Pike.</b> At approximately 4:50 p.m. on April 26, the victims, a 38-year-old female and 41-year-old male, were approached by two unknown male subjects in a vehicle. The first subject exited the vehicle and approached the male victim, placing a black handgun to the victim's head and demanding money. The female victim screamed, and the subject pointed the weapon at her, took the victim's wallet and returned to the vehicle. The subjects then fled the scene in the vehicle. A description of the vehicle led officers to a home in Arlington. A resident of that address, Darryl Gregory Jefferson, 18, matched the description of the first subject given by the victims. Jefferson was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
<b>GRAND LARCENY AUTO</b>
<b>1800 block of South Fern Street.</b> At approximately 6:10 p.m. on April 26, an Arlington County police officer observed three unknown male subjects apparently tampering with the door of a parked vehicle. After approximately two minutes of surveillance, two subjects entered the vehicle, a black Mercury Grand Marquis, and the third entered a burgundy Dodge Intrepid that was parked nearby. Both vehicles began to leave the scene followed by the officer. On observing the unmarked patrol car, both drivers accelerated and began evasive maneuvers, including running a red light and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The vehicles then entered a parking garage. The officer entered the parking garage and found the Intrepid now occupied by all three subjects. On seeing the officer, the driver exited the parking garage at a high rate of speed, breaking through the garage's access control arm. The subjects continued to elude officers, eventually heading the wrong way up an exit ramp from I-395 onto Boundary Channel Drive. As the subjects entered northbound I-395, they struck a police vehicle. The subjects entered D.C. on I-395, and the pursuit was called off, with a motor officer trailing the vehicle. The subject vehicle eventually wrecked on I-295, and the subjects fled on foot. U.S. Park Police located and arrested one suspect.
<b>BREAKING & ENTERING</b>
<b>2100 block of South Jefferson Davis Highway.</b> At approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 1, the victim, a 62-year-old male, returned home to find that unknown subject(s) had entered his apartment and taken several items, including jewelry, electronic equipment and an undetermined amount of rolled coins. Entry was apparently made by prying the front door open.
<b>4600 block of North 40th Street.</b> At approximately 7 p.m. on April 29, the victim, a 55-year-old female, discovered that unknown subject(s) had taken several items from her residence, including a laptop computer and a game system. Entry was apparently made through a screen window.
<b>1100 block of South Forest Drive.</b> At approximately 12:47 a.m. on April 27, the reporting party, a 15-year-old male, received word that an unknown subject might be on the Internet using one of his online accounts. The individual knew that no one had the password to this account but remembered that it was stored on a computer in his father's house. Knowing that his father was out of town, the individual began chatting with the subject online and notified police. On responding to the residence, police discovered a side window had been broken in. A search of the residence revealed no one inside.
<b>3100 block of South Jefferson Davis Highway.</b> At approximately 8:30 a.m. on April 29, the reporting party, the manager of an auto dealership, discovered that unknown subject(s) had entered the premises via a roof skylight. An inventory of the premises revealed that a laptop computer was missing.
<b>COMMERCIAL BURGLARY</b>
<b>1100 block of South Hayes Street.</b> At approximately 9 a.m. on April 29, the reporting party, a retail manager, discovered an undisclosed amount of cash missing from the previous night's cash drawers. On inspecting the premises, the individual discovered that the lock on the back door had been tampered with. An inventory of the store revealed several game systems and accessories were also missing.
<b>PEEPING TOM</b>
<b>1900 block of North Rhodes Street.</b> At approximately 11:25 p.m. on May 1, officers were dispatched in response to a report of a peeping tom. On arrival, officers observed a subject matching the description of the suspect looking into the window of a basement apartment. When the suspect noticed the officers, he fled the scene heading eastbound on Lee Highway. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was arrested and charged with peeping.
<b>300 block of North George Mason Drive.</b> At approximately 11:45 p.m. on April 28, while on undercover patrol, an officer observed an unknown male subject peeking into an apartment window. After several minutes of surveillance, during which time the subject retrieved and stood on an object to apparently help him see better, officers approached the subject and placed him under arrest. Andelino DeLeon, 29, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with trespass/peeping tom.
<b>INDECENT EXPOSURE</b>
<b>2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.</b> Around 9:37 p.m. the victim, a 24-year-old female, was driving south on Route 1 when an unknown subject in a vehicle next to her yelled out to her. She ignored him for awhile, however, when she did turn to look at him she noticed that he did not have on any pants and that he was holding his penis. This subject fled the scene when he realized that the victim was writing down his tag number. The suspect is described as a white male, 36-40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, wearing a white dress shirt and no pants. He was reportedly driving a blue, late ‘90s model BMW.
<b>3600 block of South 27th Street.</b> At approximately 4:46 p.m. on May 1, the victims, a 30-year-old female and her 2-year-old daughter, were approached by an unknown male subject at a playground. The subject walked up, lowered his pants to expose his genitals, then pulled his pants up and walked away. He was last seen heading eastbound out of the park. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 165 pounds, wearing faded red pants and a dirty white T-shirt.
