Crime Report

The following incidents were reported by the Herndon Police Department:

ASSAULT

1100 block of Elden St. At 5:24 p.m. on Nov. 19, several victims reported to police that unidentified men who were armed with knives chased them. There were no injuries.

2100 block of Wordsworth Court. At 9:54 p.m. on Nov. 24, a 26-year-old woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by an acquaintance. The victim was not injured. Oscar Meza-Aguilar, a 23-year-old man of Herndon, was charged with assault. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was released on bond.

800 block of Locust St. At 12:16 a.m. on Nov. 19, a 35-year-old woman reported to police that an unidentified man had assaulted her as she exited her vehicle. The victim was not injured.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

1200 block of Elden St. At 9:36 a.m. on Nov. 23, graffiti was written on two dumpsters.

800 block of Alabama Drive. On 10:21 a.m. on Nov. 23, graffiti was written on a portable restroom.

1200 block of Magnolia Lane. At 5:42 on Nov. 19, the sliding on a residence was punctured.

1100 block of Crestview Drive. On 10:28 a.m. on Nov. 23, graffiti was written on the wall of a business.

BURGLARY

700 block of Jackson St. At 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 21, a window was shattered to the rear of an animal hospital. Entry was gained and a bottle of Ketamine was removed. Investigation continuing.

LARCENY

1200 block of Elden St. At 1:36 p.m. on Nov. 20, an unidentified man removed a DVD/VHS player and a CD player from a business and fled the area in a gray minivan.

2200 block of Westcourt Lane. At 8:32 a.m. on Nov. 21, two vehicles were entered and a stereo, compact discs, gym bag, sunglasses, and a Town decal were removed.

1100 block of Elden St. At 12:08 a.m. on Nov. 24, Denise Hamlett, a 30-year-old woman of Herndon, was released on a summons charged with concealment after she concealed several food items in a business.

1200 block of Alabama Drive. At 9:11 a.m. on Nov. 18, a stereo and Town decal were removed from a vehicle.

500 block of Early Fall Court. At 9:24 p.m. on Nov. 18, a license plate was removed from a vehicle.

400 block of Elden St. At 8:23 p.m. on Nov. 20, a compact disc player was removed from a vehicle.

400 block of Elden St. At 5:55 p.m. on Nov. 18, a black and white Boston Terrier was removed from a pet store.

200 block of Reneau Way. At 7:50 a.m. on Nov. 19, a window was shattered on a vehicle and stereo speakers were removed.

300 block of Van Buren St. At 3:01 p.m. on Nov. 23, a tote bag containing passports, visas, cash, and a purse was removed from a park.

AUTO TAMPERING

300 block of Reneau Way. At 2:07 p.m. on Nov. 21, two tires were flattened on a vehicle.

DWI ARRESTS

Main Drive at Elden Street. At 10:29 p.m. on Nov. 22, David Swain, a 34-year-old man of Potomac Falls.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

1000 block of Elden St. At 10:42 p.m. on Nov. 20, Marco Hernandez, a 28-year-old man of Herndon.

1000 block of Elden St. At 1:51 p.m. on Nov. 22, Marco Hernandez, a 28-year-old man of Herndon.

600 block of Dulles Park Court. At 8:27 p.m. on Nov. 23, Fidel Ramirez, a 50-year-old man of no fixed address.

600 block of Dulles Park Court. On 8:26 p.m. on Nov. 24, Fidel Ramirez, a 50-year-old man of no fixed address, and Mario Martinez, a 40-year-old man of no fixed address.
