On Nov. 15, Park View’s senior class went on an all-day field trip to Xerox in Ashburn, for the purpose of Ethics Day. The trip was sponsored by AOL and Washington Gas. Students attended three situations in which members of Park View’s drama department, as well as volunteer attorneys, performed skits that enacted a heart surgery, court case and a murder scene.

November has been a busy month. An English as a Second Language Open House was held on Nov. 21, in the Career Center. The following day, a Muslim Dinner was held. On Nov. 26, many juniors and seniors were welcomed into the National Honor Society with an induction ceremony that evening. Representative Frank Wolfe was the guest speaker for the event.

The Patriots Football Team defeated Loudoun County High School on Nov. 15 to end the regular season with a record of 9-1. The Patriots moved on to play Fauquier County on Nov. 22 for the first round of the playoffs.

The Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated Western Albemarle in the Regional Semi-finals at James Madison University on Nov. 21 with a final score of 45-34. The ladies played again at James Madison University on Nov. 23 for the Regional Finals against Robert E. Lee.
