<sh>Burger King Shuts its Doors

<bt>The Burger King in the Tall Oaks section of Reston closed its doors on Aug. 31. "Straight and simple, we overdeveloped the Reston marketplace," Ben Jarratt, the owner of the recently shut down fast food franchise. "We had four Burger Kings within a three-mile radius, and that was clearly one too many."

Jarratt, of McLean, and his company, Northern Virginia Group, Inc., own 10 other Burger Kings in Northern Virginia, including two of the three remaining stores in Reston, at North Point and Hunters Woods. The "underperforming" Tall Oaks Burger King was opened in 1999, Jarratt said.
