Police Looking for Quartet of Robbers

Fairfax County police are looking for four armed men who robbed a 44-year-old Herndon woman, Monday morning, at the intersection of Fair Lakes Boulevard and Great Heron Drive in Fair Lakes.

The woman was driving to the bank to make a commercial bank-deposit, around 10:15 a.m., when a car passed her and pulled in front of her on Fair Lakes Boulevard. A second car immediately pulled up behind her, blocking her in.

Four men wearing hoods and armed with guns then approached her car. Two came to the passenger window and two guarded the driver's-side window. Police say one of the men shouted in English, telling the victim to give him money, and another did the same, in Spanish. According to police, the men threatened to kill the woman if she did not comply.

The victim then handed them an envelope and a bag containing an undetermined amount of cash and checks, and the suspects drove away. The victim immediately called police to report the incident.

The suspects' cars are described as a late-1990s, white Nissan and a late-1990s, red Mitsubishi Eclipse with a black convertible top. The victim was driving a maroon Toyota van. Anyone who saw this incident or has any information about the suspects involved is asked to call police at 703-691-2131.
