Wednesday, April 23, 7:30 p.m.

The Montgomery County Civic Federation will hold a discussion about transportation and traffic congestion. The focus will be on the most effective measures to bring relief of congestion in a reasonable time frame. Council President Michael L. Subin and Cary Lamari, Civic Federation President, will open the forum. Third Floor Hearing Room, Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville.

Thursday, April 24, 7 p.m.

A public hearing will be held on the proposed 2004 budget for the Department of Liquor Control. Individuals may testify or provide written comment. The Planning Board and the recreation advisory board will hold a joint public forum on park and recreation projects to be included in the FY 2005-2010 Capital Improvements Program. Monday, May 12, 7:30 p.m.

The representatives from District 16 Sen. Brian Frosh (D), and Delegates William Bronrott (D), Marilyn Goldwater (D) and Susan Lee (D), will hold a town hall meeting to discuss the just completed assembly session. The meeting will be held at the Little Falls Library, 5501 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda.

West Montgomery County Citizens Association will meet at Potomac Elementary. Guest speakers will be Del. Jean Cryor (R-15) and Sen. Rob Garagiola (D-15).

The representatives from District 15, Sen. Rob Garagiola (D) and Delegates Jean Cryor (R), Kathleen Dumais (D), and Brian Feldman (D) will hold a town hall meeting at the Potomac Library.
