Titan Expo More Than Fun

If it’s spring, it must be time for the Titan Expo.

This year’s outdoor extravaganza will be held at T. C. Williams High School on Sunday, April 27, from noon to 5 p.m.

“We will have most of the same things that we have every year,” said Larry Trice, a teacher at T. C. Williams, and the organizer of the event. “We will have all of our live concerts and this year, there will be at least one number from our spring musical, Foot Loose.

"Also, I think every club is sponsoring some kind of game. We’re going to have the car bash again. This was very popular and we were sorry we weren’t able to have it last year bedcause we were inside. There will be food, of course and lots of fun for everyone.”

Admission is free and tickets can be purchased at two locations on the T. C. grounds. The tickets can then be used to purchase food or play games. All of the money goes to scholarships for students who wish to pursue vocational education.

“We hope to fund nine scholarships this year,” Trice said. At $1,000 per student, for two years each, that comes to a goal of $18,000.
