Body Identified As That of Missing Woman; Man Sought

A body found April 15 at about 2:30 p.m. was identified by police last week as that of Fanta Moses of Mount Vernon, following autopsy and laboratory results. Moses, 19, had been missing since Dec. 12, 2002.

Fairfax County police said the woman's body was found by several juveniles as they were walking through woods.

Moses, of 8467 Diablo Court in the Hybla Valley area of Mount Vernon, failed to appear in court Dec. 13, on a case in which she was a victim of stalking. She also had not shown up for work.

Police suspected that foul play was involved in Moses' disappearance. She was last seen on a Metrobus at the King Street Metro station. The cause of death has not been determined.

MEANWHILE, a warrant for murder is on file charging Momodu Kallay Jalloh, 28, of no fixed address, with the death of Moses. Jalloh is described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Jalloh is known to frequent the Brighton Mall area near the Plaza at Landmark.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jalloh is asked to call Fairfax County police at 703-691-2131.
