Crime Report

The following incidents were reported to the Herndon District of Fairfax County.

<cal1>BURGLARY

<lst>1200 block of Elden St. At 11 p.m. on April 22, the complainant heard a noise in the living room. Upon checking on the noise they witnessed a Hispanic male in his late thirties, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall in the residence looking at various video games. The subject fled the apartment. The area was checked upon police arrival and the subject was not located. Case Active.

900 block of Ferndale Ave. At 6:28 a.m. on April 24, unknown subject(s) entered a business and removed cash from a safe located inside.

<cal1>ASSAULT

<lst>500 block of Florida Ave. At 9:46 p.m. on April 20, officers responded to a residence for a report of an assault. After speaking with both parties, the primary aggressor could not be determined. Warrant procedures were given to both parties.

1200 block of Elden St. At 12:02 p.m. on April 26, the complainant was in an ATM line and was approached by a white male in his late thirties, approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He began yelling and cursing and grabbed her shoulder. When she pulled away, he returned to a gray Dodge truck and left the area. Case Active.

1200 block of Elden St. At 7:03 p.m. on April 27, the complainant reported an acquaintance grabbed and pulled her hair. Jose Antonio Portillo Sosa, a 38 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Assault and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

500 block of Early Fall Court. At 7:27 p.m. on April 20, the complainant reported that an acquaintance struck them in the back of the head three times and across the face once. A minor injury was noted. Farid Wazir, a 44 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Assault and transported to Fairfax County ADC, where he was released on his signature.

1100 block of Autumnhaze Court. At 9:56 p.m. on April 26, the complainant reported being struck by an acquaintance. Minor injuries were noted. Rafael Juan Castillo Guevara, a 43 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Assault and transported to Fairfax County ADC, where he was released on his signature.

400 block of Elden St. At 10:43 a.m. on April 20, the complainant reported that several subjects entered his business and tried to leave without paying for food. One subject struck the complainant in the mouth. Carlos Alberto Martinez Martinez, a 23 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Assault and transported to Fairfax County ADC, where he was released on his signature.

200 block of Spring St. At 4:33 p.m. on April 23, the complainant reported being struck by a subject while shopping. Both parties were interviewed and a primary aggressor could not be determined. Warrant procedures were given to both parties.

400 block of Madison Ave. At 7:15 p.m. on April 21, the complainant reported being assaulted by an acquaintance earlier in the day. There were no visible signs of injury. Warrant procedures were advised.

1000 block of Queens Court. At 9:36 p.m. on April 22, the complainant reported being assaulted by an acquaintance. A minor injury was noted. The subject had left the area. Warrant procedures were advised.

600 block of Elden St. At 1:04 p.m. on April 23, the complainant was pushed by an acquaintance. No injuries were observed. Warrant procedures were advised.

1000 block of Saber Lane. At 8:08 p.m. on April 24, the complainant reported being assaulted by an acquaintance. There were no visible signs of injury. Warrant procedures were advised.

<cal1>DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

<lst>1200 block of Elden St. At 8:45 a.m. on April 22, unknown subject(s) broke out the driver's side window of a vehicle in the parking lot.

500 block of Huntmar Park Drive. At 11 p.m. on April 26, unknown subject(s) punctured four tires on a parked vehicle.

700 block of Van Buren St. At 6:45 a.m. on April 26, a flagpole was bent over by unknown subject(s).

<cal1>LARCENY

<lst>400 block of Aspen Drive. At midnight on April 12, unknown subject(s) removed three women's rings from the residence over a three-month time frame.

400 block of Herndon Parkway. At 8 a.m. on April 18, unknown subject(s) entered the building and removed business files and some personal items. Case Active.

100 block of Spring St. At 8:50 a.m. on April 24, unknown subject(s) removed a license plate from a vehicle.

900 block of Jorss Place. At 4:15 p.m. on April 22, unknown subject(s) removed a purse from an unlocked vehicle.

900 block of Barton Oaks Place. At 6 a.m. on April 25, unknown subject(s) broke out a driverís window and removed a radio/compact disc player.

<cal1>INJURED PERSON

<lst>500 block of Florida Ave. At 12:39 a.m. on April 27, an intoxicated subject was hanging over a third story balcony when they fell to the ground. They received a broken foot and minor lacerations, and were transported to Fairfax Hospital.

<cal1>TRESPASS

<lst>1100 block of Elden St. At 10 a.m. on April 23, a security guard reported a subject in the area after being forbidden to be there. The subject was not present upon police arrival. Warrant procedures given to the security guard.

<cal1>WARRANT SERVICE

<lst>1062 Elden St. At 3:57 p.m. on April 20, a subject came into the Herndon Police Department and reported she had seen her runaway daughter in the area. A 14 year-old female of Falls Church was located. A warrant check found the female was wanted for a Larceny in Fairfax County and a Shelter Care Order for being a runaway. The female was taken into custody and turned over to Fairfax County JDC.

Crestview Drive/Herndon Parkway. At 10:08 p.m. on April 22, Jorge Luis Guevara, a 24 year-old male of Sterling, was arrested for an outstanding Hit and Run felony warrant, after being stopped in a park.

<cal1>DWI ARRESTS

<lst>700 block of Van Buren St. At 1:21 a.m. on April 25, Conor Richard Stoeppler, a 24 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to Fairfax County ADC.

Elden Street/Lynn Street. At 2:12 a.m. on April 25, Tegree Rogers, a 26 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to Fairfax County ADC.

1100 block of Elden St. At 11:49 p.m. on April 26, Pedro Samuel Delgado, a 24 year-old male of Herndon was arrested and transported to Fairfax County ADC.
