Dorothea L. Lansdowne, 43, died Jan. 11 at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital. Formerly of Loudoun County, she was a Reston resident. She had been employed by Cable and Wireless, USA and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Herndon.
She is survived by her son, Tiko of Ashburn, her mother, Gladys Lansdowne, of Reston; four sisters, Joyce M. Tracy of Manassas, Doris A. Lansdowne of Annandale, Darlene M. Lansdowne of Reston, and Donna Lansdowne of Herndon; one brother, Daryl A. Lansdowne of Alexandria and a brother-in-law, the Rev. Thomas E. Tracy. She is also survived by four uncles: Morris Hill of Sterling, Alphonso Hill also of Sterling, Robert Lee Lansdowne of Arlington and Sherman Lansdowne of New Jersey and three aunts, Hazel Dean of Herndon, Ella Hill of Sterling and Ethel Spriggs of Arlington.
A funeral was held on Jan. 18 held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Herndon with interment at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Sterling.
