Marine Corps Pvt. James A. Kaiser, son of Elaine M. Miler and Robert S. Kaiser of Burke, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Kaiser is a 2002 graduate of Lake Braddock High School.
Air Force Airman Michael F. Dougherty has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Dougherty is the son of Steven Dougherty of Pohick Road in Springfield. He is a 2002 graduate of Fairfax High School.
Air Force Reserve Cadet Wing Commander September S. McKimmie is the winner of the national level ROTC “Aspire” award. A student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., she is the daughter of George and Garette McKimmie of Fairfax.
Coast Guard Fireman Apprentice Michael V. Rumohr, son of Marie Rumohr and Owe Rumohr, both of Fairfax, recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. Rumohr is a 1999 graduate of Fairfax High School.
