<cal1>ASSAULT

<lst>1200 Block Elden St. At 5:09 a.m. on July 5, officers responded to a fight between two subjects. Both had received minor scratches, cuts, and bruises. There were conflicting stories. Case is active pending charges.

600 Block Center St. At 11:06 p.m. on July 6,

Jose Manuel Mejia, a 25 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for assault and transported to the Fairfax County ADC after trying to choke an acquaintance.

500 Block Merlins Lane. At 12:48 a.m. on July 5, the complainant was speaking with a subject about a noise violation. The subject began swearing at the complainant and some pushing took place. The subject struck the complainant as he turned to leave. Case Active.

<cal1>ROBBERY

<lst>1100 Block Crestview Drive. At 4:25 p.m. on July 2, a 13 year-old male and 14 year-old male, both of Herndon, were arrested for taking property from another by force or intimidation. Both were released to their parents with charges being placed.

1200 Block Elden St. At 12:24 p.m. on July 4, the complainant was asleep behind the shopping center when he was awoken by a subject grabbing his necklace. A brief struggled ensued for the necklace at which time the necklace broke and the subject fled the area with a portion of it. Due to the intoxication level of the complainant, the subject was only described as a male.

<lst>400 Block Elden St. At 2:31 a.m. on July 4, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a rear door and removed cash from a business.

700 Block Monroe St. At 7 a.m. on July 1, unknown subject(s) broke a window and gained entry into a business. Once inside they removed a set of cash register keys and some change.

<cal1>DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

<lst>1100 Block Elden St. At 11:49 a.m. on July 3, a subject entered a business after having work performed there and broke a shelf in anger.

Palmer Drive/Dogwood Court. At 8:52 a.m. on July 6, while on bike patrol, officers found two vehicles with punctured tires.

1300 Block April Way. At 8:48 a.m. on July 3, unknown subject(s) damaged the lower panel of a screen door.

<lst>700 Block Campbell Way. At 11:50 a.m. on June 30, unknown subject(s) removed a radio from a vehicle.

1000 Block Elden St. At 3:27 p.m. on July 3, a 15 year old male of Herndon was found shoplifting. He was released to his parent.

Bond Street/Waterford Place. At 11 a.m. on June 30, unknown subject(s) removed a CD player and Camera from a parked vehicle.

600 Block Dulles Park Court. At 7:10 p.m. on July 1, unknown subject(s) removed a front license plate from a parked vehicle.

1400 Block Bluemont Court. At 8:23 a.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) shattered a rear vent window, removed baseball hats and shoes, and attempted to remove a stereo from a parked vehicle.

1100 Block Autumnhaze Court. At 12:42 p.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) removed a stereo faceplate and tried to remove the stereo from a parked vehicle.

1000 Block Jeff Ryan Drive. At 12:42 p.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) removed a bicycle from a yard. Another bicycle was left in its place.

200 Spring St. At 12:49 p.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) removed a 1993 International cargo truck from the business. The vehicle is white in color with Colorado tag 13335P. An employee is suspected.

1200 Block Wilshire Drive. At 7 a.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) removed tools from a parked vehicle.

<cal1>UNAUTHORIZED USE

<lst>1100 Elden St. At 8:33 p.m. on July 4, the complainant had work performed on his vehicle. Upon returning to pick it up it was not at the business. An employee was found to have used the vehicle. Michael Paul Guiterrez, a 28 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Unauthorized Use and Driving on a Suspended License. He was transported to the Fairfax County ADC where he was released on a $4,000 unsecured bond.

<cal1>UNLAWFUL ENTRY

<lst>500 Block Florida Ave. At 11:06 p.m. on July 5, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and ransacked it. No items appeared to be missing.

<cal1>OTHER VIOLATIONS

<lst>2200 Block Westcourt Lane. At 2:26 a.m. on July 1, a subject called a residence numerous times during the night.

300 Block Cherry Court. At 2:03 a.m. on July 2, unknown subject(s) set off fireworks on the complainant's porch.

1200 Block Elden St. At 12:24 a.m. on July 4, Bartolome Alvarenga Aguirre, a 30 year-old male of no fixed address, was arrested for Trespassing and transported to the Fairfax County ADC.

1000 Block Alabama Drive. At 10:19 p.m. on July 2, Sosethene Sane Aka, an 18 year-old male of Ashburn, was released on a summons for a Fireworks Violation.

1200 Block Alabama Drive. At 9:25 a.m. on July 5, officers on bike patrol observed a subject driving recklessly. After keeping the vehicle in sight, they observed the driver stop and run from the vehicle. A short bicycle/foot pursuit ensued during which the subject was arrested. Pedro Rene Martinez, a 19 year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for Obstruction of Justice, Driving on a Suspended License, and Reckless Driving. He was transported to the Fairfax County ADC.
