Chantilly Woman Assaulted; Sterling Man Is Charged

A 23-year-old Sterling man is facing a possible five years to life in prison after being arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 26-year-old Chantilly woman. He is Christian Flores of 1030 South Hoga Road.

Fairfax County police say the alleged incident occurred on June 24. They say the woman has been assessed to have a "severely diminished mental capacity," and Flores was acquainted with her and was a visitor in her home. However, police will not reveal further details of their relationship.

According to police, the woman's care-provider reported that Flores allegedly sexually assaulted the woman in the home that she and her care-giver share. After detectives interviewed Flores and investigated, they charged him Monday, July 7, with animate-object sexual penetration. He was held in the Adult Detention Center without bond and has a Sept. 2 court date.
