Mount Calvary Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School will take place June 23-27, 7-9 p.m., at 4325 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax. This year's theme is "God's Treasure Chest." Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church in Burke will host Career Net every Monday at 7:30 p.m. starting June 23. The event will allow job-seekers to network with each other, receive employment-related news and literature and ask for specific help from others and the volunteers. The Christ-Based Teachings is a class that will explore one’s connection to Christ Mind. Healing Service at Jubilee Christian Center. On July 6, at 6:30 p.m., Rev. Mike Zello Jr., evangelist and executive director of Fredericksburg Teen Challenge, will share how Christ can deliver a person from alcohol and other drug addictions in the real world, as well as teach prayer for those needing physical and spiritual healing and restoration. Arts and crafts camp, a theater and music camp and a sports and games camp are planned for this summer at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5114 Twinbrook Road, Fairfax. The arts camp will take place July 14-18. Theater and music camp will take place July 21 - 24. The sports and game camp will take place July 28 - Aug. 1. Children in first through sixth grades are welcome to take part at the church site. Seventh graders and older are invited to be camp counselors. "Son Harvest County Fair" Vacation Bible School. Children ages 3 through sixth grade can attend Vacation Bible School Aug. 4 - 8, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5114 Twinbrook Road, Fairfax. The cost for VBS is $20 per child, $50 maximum per family if registered before June 30. After June 30, costs are $25 per child and $60 maximum per family. Lord of Life Lutheran Church offers three weeks of summer camps in July for elementary school age girls and boys at the church's Fairfax location at 5114 Twinbrook Road. The first is an arts and crafts camp from July 14-18, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rising kindergartners to second graders will have crafts and games; rising third to sixth graders will have art classes with a talented artist.

From July 21-25, a music and theater arts camp will be offered from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This camp is open to rising first and fourth graders and returning older students who attended last year's camp and want to help this year. From July 28-Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., a sports and games camp for rising first to third graders and rising fourth to sixth graders will be offered. The two camps will run during the same time with appropriate activities for each age group.

All camps will be $40 per child for each camp with a maximum of $80 per family for each camp (two children or more.) For more information, contact the Lord of Life Church office at 703-323-9500. Registration is on a first come basis until all camps are filled.

Burke Presbyterian Church will host its first theater camp this summer, July 14-18, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The camp is open to rising fourth through sixth graders. The cost is $25 per child. Vacation Bible School will take place July 21 through 25, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and is open to children who age 3 through rising sixth graders. The cost is $20 per child. Wednesday Series, "Get a Life." Now through August, Pastor Bill Frasnelli and Associate Pastor Mike Colon will present a weekly series based on Ephesians.
