<sh>Visitors can see a variety of home and garden design businesses in one place.

Fortuny lighting fixtures, Carlo Moretti glass and Frette linens will greet guests as they pass through Hunters & Gatherers’ custom-designed rose garden and bedroom scene entrance to the first annual Home and Design Magazine Live! A publication featuring luxury homes, “Home and Design” will showcase the top home design and furnishing businesses at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner May 31 and June 1.

“This was designed exclusively to meet the high standards of luxury homeowners by allowing them to come face-to-face with over 125 ‘Home & Design’ magazine advertisers at the luxurious Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner,” said Stacy Pesacov, president, Full Potential Marketing, the creator of the event for the magazine.

Guests will have the opportunity to consult with area designers and meet award-winning kitchen architects and luxury home builders. While most companies will be offering services, Pesacov said that a few companies will have items available for purchase.

“[The showcase] gives an array of the great talent in the Washington area,” said Caroline Lewis, director of public relations. “This really is the ‘who’s who’ of the Washington area interior design and furnishing community.”

LISTED AS ONE of the top 30 builder/remodelers in the metropolitan area by the "Washingtonian," Great Falls Construction Company is the feature sponsor of home design show.

Great Falls Construction will be equipped with photographs, plans, display boards and a video of current projects to promote and introduce the company to the public. "This is an opportunity to introduce the type of work we do and the quality and our commitment to work with customers on an individual basis to do custom houses," said Roger Blattberg, president of Great Falls Construction.

After creating a luxury home, homeowners can then create a one-of-a-kind landscape by visiting high-end landscaping companies at the show.

"We are known for our creative designs that complement the architecture of the house while providing a link to the environment that the house is in," said Phillip Kelly, chief operations officer of McHale Landscape Design in McLean. The company will showcase materials including a haddon stone fountain, a pergola structure with architectural columns and a stone imported from Jerusalem for the patio.

SUN DESIGN REMODELING will create a comfortable setting to sit down and talk with people. "If good, qualified clients come through, then that is a continued opportunity of bringing in new people to the system," said Bob Gallagher, vice president of Sun Design Remodeling located in Burke.

Sun Design employees will talk to people about their plans and discuss how Sun Design can meet their needs. Following the trend of making existing space more functional and beautiful, Gallagher said that Sun Design specializes in making better indoor-outdoor connections.

Pesacov encourages visitors to take their time and relax as they make their way through each company’s vignette. Cocktail and coffee bars will be located right at the show, and guests can also make reservations at any of the area restaurants.
