Business has been good for Yvette Piaggio. As the owner of Piaggio's Loft, she recently renovated her three-story design studio and store on Cameron Street. To celebrate, she threw a big party for her friends and clients.
The store was filled with guests enjoying Italian wines, cheeses and meats. Servers passed hors d'Oeuvres throughout the evening and guests enjoyed wandering throughout the store and studio. Downstairs, Piaggio's many gift items were on display, including samples of her gift baskets. These baskets can be made for just about any occasion—new baby, golf outing, wedding or birthday. She has a large selection of specialty foods and gift items ready to complement one of her handmade bags, wine totes or cell phone purses.
During the party, Piaggio's dog Mozart, wandered among the crowd. At Piaggio's Loft, dogs feel just as much at home as do humans. And they are just as pampered. Piaggio has designed a line of pet sweaters, jackets, neckerchiefs and carriers.
Piaggio's gift line is merely an offshoot of her design business. Her forte is custom designing homes with window treatments, bedding and other custom-designed items.
