Has the Centreville Peeper Struck Again?

Fairfax County police say a 17-year-old Centreville girl was in the basement of her home Sunday, around 8 p.m., when she heard a noise, looked out the back door and saw a man exposing himself to her. She shouted to him, then ran to the telephone and called police.

Police say detectives have so far "not conclusively linked" this incident or suspect to several, as-yet-unsolved, recent peeping incidents in Centreville, but several similarities exist. This suspect — like the other one — is described as white and in his late teens or early 20s. He wore a tan jacket.

Furthermore, the incident happened in the 6300 block of Field Flower Trail in The Meadows community — where two previous incidents occurred — and, say police, to the same victim in all three instances. And according to police Sgt. Jeff Gossett, the teen-ager believes it was the same man, each time.

On Sept. 14, someone entered her home and fondled her before fleeing; and on Sept. 24, a man knocked on a window of her house to get her attention and then fled. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at 703-691-2131 or Crime Solvers at 703-691-8888.
