State Sen. Toddy Puller brings 12 years of experience in Richmond to her quest for another four years in the Senate. She has been an advocate for human services and education. Recently she has worked closely with constituents reeling from damage from Hurricane Isabel's flooding.
In addition to her support of constituent needs, Puller is supported by the local business communities.
After redistricting, Puller faces 60 percent new district and an experienced challenger in Christian Braunlich, a member of the Fairfax County School Board. Braunlich has many good ideas about transportation, but his views on revenue make it unlikely that there will be funds to make many improvements.
