To The Editor:
I have a child in Fairfax County Public Schools. I also am a homeowner and taxpayer. As a parent, I want schools that help my child to do his best. As a taxpayer, I also want a school system that does not waste money. As a teacher, I need to know that the School Board and its superintendent support me as a practitioner in the classroom, treating me as a professional and not an extension of a textbook or canned program.
I have closely studied the at-large candidates for the School Board that all voters in Fairfax select. One who stands out in that crowd is Janet Oleszek. She has the knowledge, the understanding, the heart, the toughness and the persistence to make sure the Fairfax County schools are the best that they can be and that they spend not one penny more than is needed to make them the best.
I urge all Fairfax County residents to vote for Janet Oleszek for School Board.
