Key Center School and Lee High School have collaborated in a community outreach program called “Lee Key to Connection.” Forty-five SGA students from Lee High School are involved in the program. Twice a month, 12 students at a time will come to Key Center to help in the seven secondary classrooms for an hour. This will provide the students with the opportunity to learn about children with disabilities and programs for students with special needs. Through direct interactions with their peers at Key Center School, the Lee High School SGA students gain knowledge and insight to increase their acceptance of persons with disabilities. Moreover, students from Key Center gain a positive experience by interacting with their peers from the community.
