Earth Day/Arbor Day. Fairfax County celebrates Earth Day/Arbor Day with a day of activities on the Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Events include performances by Billy B, a nationally known environmental entertainer, Barnett Williams on the drums and a play by Glee Mania. Children can visit the petting zoo and Reptiles and Amphibians in Our Back Yard. Art exhibit/open house. Experience peace and tranquility through art as Marcia Toepfer's new show opens at The Loft Gallery, 313 Mill St., Occoquan. Titled "A Day In the Country," the Toepfer's show celebrates the universal need to find to a quieter, simpler place and captures this from Leesburg through the mountains of New York State to English villages and European rivers in a new series of watercolors and oils.
