Police Report

The following incidents were reported by the Alexandria Police Department.

BURGLARY - ARSON:

1 Oronoco St. Aug. 10, 3:12 a.m. Police were called to the waterfront warehouse to assist the fire department with a fire in progress. Initial investigation reveals that someone had forced open a door to gain entry to the warehouse. Once inside, the suspect ransacked the office, removed two forklifts and set fire to rolls of newsprint. Damage from the fire was minimized due to the fire suppression and alarm systems. One forklift was driven from the warehouse, through the loading bay and dumped into the river. It has not been recovered, and another forklift is also missing. The Alexandria Fire Marshal and Alexandria police continue to investigate.

BURGLARY:

3300 block of King Street. Between 7 p.m. July 30 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2. Someone entered the school's trailer by prying open the door. Once inside, the suspect vandalized the interior by painting graffiti on the walls and desks.

4611 Duke Street. Between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3 and 7 a.m. Aug. 4. Someone entered the business by breaking the front glass door. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

4617 Duke Street. Between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 3 and 7:45 a.m. Aug. 4. Someone entered the business by breaking the front glass door. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

1400 block of W. Braddock Road. Aug. 4, between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Someone entered the victim's garage door, which was left open. Once inside, the suspect stole a 1986 Piaggio red moped.

ROBBERY:

100 block of Yale Drive. Aug. 3, 5:25 p.m. The victim, a 15-year-old male city resident, was riding his moped when he was approached by a small group of young men. One of the suspects asked for a ride and then allegedly stole the moped. Police were called to the scene and began searching for the suspects who had fled from the area. Approximately three hours later, police stopped an individual riding the moped in the 1000 block of Vernon Street. The suspect, a 15-year-old male city resident, was taken into custody and charged with possession of stolen property.

900 block of N. Alfred Street. Aug. 5, 11:48 a.m. The victim, a 34-year-old male Arlington County resident, was approached by two men. One of the suspects demanded money and the two men allegedly robbed the man of cash. Both suspects then fled on foot and were seen entering two separate cars that immediately left the area. Suspect No. 1 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches-5 feet 11 inches, 150-190 pounds and was wearing a short sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans. Suspect No. 2 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches-5 feet 10 inches, 150-170 pounds and was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

500 block of N. Armistead Street. Aug. 6, 10:30 p.m. Two 17-year-olds, a 16-year-old, and three 15-year-olds, all city residents, were allegedly robbed by three men. The victims observed a white, two-door late model Honda pull to the curb and watched as three men exited the car and approached. The suspects demanded money and when the first victim refused, he was stabbed with a knife in the shoulder area. This wound was not life threatening. All but one of the victims were robbed. Money and cellular telephones were taken. The suspects then got back in their car and left the area. The victim that was stabbed, refused to be transported to the hospital and was treated at the scene by a medic unit. The suspects were described as black males, 20-25 years old and all approximately 5 feet 6 inches-5 feet 10 inches, 160-190 pounds.

100 block of S. Bragg Street. Aug. 7, 5:20 a.m. The victim, a 25-year-old male Fairfax County resident, was approached by a man who demanded his wallet. The victim complied and the suspect fled from the area on foot. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 25-35 years old, 6 feet 2 inches-6 feet 3 inches, 190-200 pounds and was wearing a black and white shirt and blue jeans.

5400 block of Bradford Court. Between 3 p.m. Aug. 6 and 3 a.m. Aug. 7. Stolen: 1993 Honda Civic, four-door, white.

200 block of Yoakum Parkway. Between 9 p.m. Aug. 6 and 9 a.m. Aug. 7. Stolen: 1995 Toyota Camry, four-door, green.

6000 block of N. Morgan Street. Aug. 7, between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Toyota Corolla, four-door, gold.

5200 block of Maris Avenue. Between 10 p.m. Aug. 6 and 12 p.m. Aug. 7. Stolen: 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, sport utility, grey.

5800 block of Merton Court. Between 6 p.m. Aug. 6 and 3 p.m. Aug. 7. Stolen: 1998 Honda Civic, four-door, white.

3300 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. Between 9 p.m. Aug. 5 and 9 a.m. Aug. 7. Stolen: 1995 Ford Econoline van, white.

200 block of N. West Street. Between Aug. 7, between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Stolen: 1983 Lincoln-Continental, fur-door, white.

500 block of N. Armistead Street. Between 5 p.m. Aug. 8 and 8 a.m. Aug. 9. Stolen: 2003 Honda Civic, four-door, light blue.

4800 block of Kenmore Avenue. Aug. 8, between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Stolen: 2002 Toyota Tacoma, pick-up truck, grey.

3300 block of Wyndham Circle. Between 12 p.m. Aug. 1 and 12 p.m. Aug. 2. Stolen: 2000 Honda Civic, two-door, black.

6000 block of Edsall Road. Between 5 p.m. Aug. 1 and 12:03 p.m. Aug. 2. Stolen: 2001 Honda motorcycle, grey/black.

4700 block of Eisenhower Avenue. Aug. 2, 9:45 a.m. Stolen: 2003 Subaru station wagon, white/gray.

6100 block of Edsall Road. Between 6:30 a.m. Aug. 1 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Stolen; 1998 Dodge Caravan, brown.

200 block of Yoakum Parkway. Between 10:30 p.m. July 31 and 10:15 p.m. Aug. 2. Stolen: 2004 Suzuki motorcycle, purple/black.

5200 block of Duke Street. Between 8 p.m. July 29 and 5 p.m. Aug. 2. Stolen: 1997 Mercury Sable, four-door, black.

400 block of N. Armistead Street. Between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 3. Stolen: 2000 Honda Civic, four-door, gold.

400 block of N. Armistead Street. Between 10:15 p.m. Aug. 2 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 3. Stolen: 1995 Honda Civic, four-door, dark green.

Unit block of E. Reed Avenue. Between 4 p.m. Aug. 2 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 3. Stolen: 1992 Honda Accord, four-door, blue.
