<lst>The following incidents were reported to the City of Fairfax Police Department.

<cal1>Accident

<cal2>10090 Lee Highway / CVS Pharmacy. On July 28, at 1:35 p.m., a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of the business. The victim was transported to the hospital due to her injuries. The driver, a juvenile, was charged at the time of the accident, with reckless driving. On Aug. 11, the pedestrian died as a result of her injuries.

<cal1>Arrest

<cal2>4081 University Drive / Station 3 Fire Department. On Aug. 8, at 10:18 p.m., officers responded to a large party in the social hall of the building. Officers observed a subject trying to start a fight. When officers attempted to escort the subject out of the building, he grabbed an officer’s shirt and tore it. When officers attempted to arrest him, another subject tried to interfere. Both subjects were arrested and taken to jail. Ronal Padilla, 23, of the 12900 block of Richmond Lane, Chantilly, was charged with assault on a police officer. Rocael Guyalva, 24, of 1200 block of North Quinn St., Arlington, was charged with disorderly conduct.

Old Pickett Road / Old Lee Highway. On Aug. 8, at 6:42 p.m., while on patrol, an officer observed a subject known to be wanted by the police. After a short pursuit, the subject was apprehended. James A. Judy Jr., 37, of the 3500 block of Burrows Ave., Fairfax, was taken to jail and served with several warrants from Fairfax County and Arlington County. He was also served with City of Fairfax warrants for speed to elude, two counts of driving as a habitual offender and receiving stolen property.

3320 Plantation Parkway / Plantation 7-Eleven. On Aug. 8, at 2:45 a.m., officers arrested Boris Cizov, 39, of the 4600 block of Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. for drunk in public.

9908 Lee Highway / P. J. Skidoos. On Aug. 10, at 12:16 a.m., officers responded to the business for a subject who had called “911” asking for the police to respond. During the phone call he continued to use profane language while speaking with the dispatcher. Napolean Diaz Hernandez, 28, of the 2900 block of Cashel Lane, Vienna, was arrested and charged with drunk in public and cursing while using the telephone.

<cal1>Child Neglect

<cal2>3226 Old Lee Highway / Circle 7-Eleven. On Aug. 11, at 8 p.m., officers responded to the business for a suspicious person. The subject was arrested for drunk in public. She advised she had left her 9-month-old child alone in a hotel room near by. Officers responded and located the child. Child Protective Services responded and took custody of the child. Selia Abigail Castellonos-Lopez, 24, of no fixed address, was also charged with child neglect and destruction of property when she kicked and damaged a window in the police cruiser.

<cal1>Embezzlement

<cal2>3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot. On Aug. 12, at 9:30 p.m., management of the business advised an employee had stolen an activated gift card from the business and took it to another Home Depot to purchase items. Haneen Magdi Abdelkarim, 28, of the 3000 block of Spice Court, Fairfax, was arrested and charged with embezzlement.

<cal1>Larceny

<cal2>3700 Old Lee Highway / Van Dyke Park. On Aug. 6, between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a digital camera that was left at the skate park.

10336 Layton Hall Drive / Layton Hall Apartments. On Aug. 8, between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a bicycle from a balcony of an apartment.

10473 Lee Highway / Dennys Restaurant. On Aug. 9, between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a purse that was left at one of the tables.

10701 Main St. / Fairfax Nursing Center. On Aug. 9, between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a purse that was left in the laundry room.

9488 Arlington Blvd. / Hudson Trail Outfitters. On Aug. 9, at 3:15 p.m., an unknown subject stole a bicycle from the business. The subject got on the bicycle and rode it out of the business.

10800 block of Scott Drive. On Aug. 9, at 11 a.m., the victim advised his girlfriend had taken several items from his home. She was contacted and gave some of the items back. When she refused to return the other items she was arrested. Cecilia Maria Goycochea, 38, of the 14000 block of Grumbel Jones Court, Centreville, was charged with larceny.

9522 Arlington Blvd. / Peter Pan Restaurant. On Aug. 13, at 1 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a purse that was left on the counter at the business.

<cal1>Robbery

<cal2>9700 Block of Main St. / Comstock Townhouses. On Aug. 11, at 12:15 a.m., the victim was met by two individuals and were walking toward the townhouses. One subject hit the victim. She fell to the ground and was kicked and punched by both. They took her purse and ran off. A short time later, the subjects were located and arrested. Walibullah Essar, 18, of the 9700 block of Main St., Fairfax, and Ahmed Adib, 18, of the 6000 block of Deer Hill Court, Centreville, were charged with robbery and assault and held without bond.

<cal1>Shoplifting

<cal2>4080 Jermantown Road / Kmart. On Aug. 9, at 6:07 p.m., a subject was caught leaving the business with several items that he had not paid for. Oscar Alcides Vasquez Palomeque, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested for shoplifting and drunk In public.

<cal1>Suspicious Event

<cal2>4000 block of Woodland Drive. On Aug. 10, at 10:59 p.m., several unknown subjects in a white Mercedes Sports Utility Vehicle followed the victim and made vulgar comments toward her. A check of the area by officers could not locate the vehicle.
