<lst>The following incidents were reported to the Town of Vienna police:

<cal1>Arrest

<cal2>Nutley Street and Tapawingo Road, S.W. During a traffic stop on Aug. 16, at 6:50 p.m., Timothy Wayne McDonald, 21, of the 8300 block of Windfall Road, Springfield, was charged with driving on a suspended license and drinking while driving.

CVS, 264 Cedar Lane, S.E. On Aug. 20, around 4:20 p.m., police responded to a report of two boys shoplifting merchandise from the store and subsequently charged a 14-year old Vienna boy with petit larceny. A 15-year old Vienna boy was charged with petit larceny and underage possession of tobacco.

<cal1>Grand Larceny

<cal2>400 block Kingsley Road., S.W. On Aug. 20, between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., the stereo was taken from a car parked at a house. Entry was gained by breaking a window.

Vision of Beauty, 403 Maple Ave., E. On Aug. 20, around 6 p.m., an employee at the business reported a wallet was taken from her purse.

<cal1>Petit Larceny

<cal2>200 block Branch Road, S.E. On Aug. 16 around 9:15 a.m., four traffic signs were reported taken from this block.

800 block Glyndon St., S.E. On Aug. 22, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., a bicycle was taken from the driveway of a house.

<cal1>Suspicious event

<cal2>100 block Elmar Drive, S.E. On Aug. 21, around 4:15 p.m., the resident of a house encountered a man near the entrance to the garage. He asked for a drink of water and left the area on foot. The resident then noticed a bicycle had been moved from the rear of the garage to the entrance.

<cal1>Vandalism

<cal2>1400 block DeSale St., S.W. Between Aug. 17 around 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 18 at 8 a.m., a window was broken and some shingles torn off a shed at a house. A screen door on the house was cut.
