Our local Cub Scout Pack 135 has been reformed and is actively recruiting members. The youngest age to join is 6 for Tiger Cubs, followed by 7-year-olds for Wolf Cubs, 8-year-olds for Cub Scouts, and 9-year-olds for Webelos. The Scouts meet at Maury Elementary School every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. The Cub Pack had its first outing on Nov. 28 to the Mount Vernon Estate. Scouts hiked to the west gate, which is the way George Washington usually entered his estate. For more information on joining, contact cubmaster Gary Patterson at 703-683-2399.
