Something is missing at The Mount Vernon Post Office this week. Long-time Postmaster Sandra McDuffie is no longer at the helm. She bid farewell to her co-workers and customers last Friday. Customers were in and out all day, bringing gifts and saying goodbye to her. They enjoyed a large cake that was presented in McDuffie's honor.
Michelle Woods, from the Fort Belvoir branch, will be the Officer in Charge until another Postmaster is selected.
