<lst>The following incidents were reported to the City of Fairfax Police Department.

<cal1>Assault

<cal2>4200 block of Allison Circle. On July 7 around 7 p.m., a parent called to report that their 13-year child had been assault by two other juveniles. The victim stated that she was choked and slapped by the two females while walking in the neighborhood. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

<cal1>Counterfeit Money

<cal2>10473 Lee Highway / Denny’s. On July 2, at 12:52 p.m., the victim reported that they received a counterfeit one dollar bill from the business. It appears that this occurred when the victim was given change after paying their check. The business was contacted and after checking, no further counterfeit money was located.

<cal1>Larceny

<cal2>10441 Lee Highway / Fairfax Toyota. Sometime between June 17 and June 20, unknown person(s) stole a vehicle transmission that was left outside the business.

3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot. On July 3, at 9 p.m., the victim reports that she placed her purse on the ground after exiting her vehicle in the parking lot and then accidentally walked away without it. When she returned, she found the purse missing.

10400 block of Stratford Ave. Sometime between June 30 and July 1, unknown person(s) stole several items from a vehicle parked at a residence.

3195 Old Lee Highway / McDonalds. On July 4, at 10:30 a.m., the victim reports that while repairing another bicycle in the parking lot of the business, a black male got onto his bicycle and rode away with it. The victim and others citizens attempted to apprehend the suspect, however, he was able to get away.

11003 Lee Highway / CVS. On July 5, at 5:36 p.m., a male came into the business and began concealing merchandise into his pants. When an employee began to approach him, the subject ran from the business and left without paying for the items. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

10876 Lee Highway / Embassy Carwash. On July 1, at 5:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a DVD player from a vehicle at the business.

10700 block of Oak Place. Sometime between July 5 and July 6, unknown person(s) stole a black and tan German Shepherd from the yard of a residence.

9492 Arlington Blvd. / Cingular Wireless. On July 6, at 5:35 p.m., a citizen observed a black male remove a bicycle from the rear of a vehicle and then walk away with it. The citizen entered the business and inquired if anyone had a bicycle on the back of their car. One customer acknowledged that he did, and the citizen advised him as to what had just occurred. The victim them walked outside and attempted to confront the suspect. The suspect then got onto the bicycle and rode away. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

9622 Main St. / Shoppers Food Warehouse. On July 3, around 1:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a purse left unattended in a shopping cart.

9902 Fairfax Square / Fairfax Square Apartments. Sometime between July 6 and July 7, unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle and stole a generator, compressor and other work tools from inside.

11001 Lee Highway / Office Depot. On July 7, around 10:21 a.m., an employee was found to have been stealing money from the cash registers in the business. While police were being called, the employee fled the business. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.

4150 Chain Bridge Road / Red, Hot and Blue. On June 23, between 12-1 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a cellular phone from a vehicle parked at the business.

9602 Main St. / Lifetime Fitness. On July 7, between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., items were taken from lockers inside the business. The three victims stated that an unknown person(s) stole cash and watches from the lockers they were using at the business.

10300 Stratford Ave./ Fairfax United Methodist Church. Sometime between July 5 and July 6, unknown person(s) stole both license plates and the registration from a vehicle while it was parked in the lot.

10501 Main St. / Wachovia Bank. On July 8, between 12:31 p.m. and 12:36 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a vehicle while it was parked in front of the business.

10670 Lee Highway / Danker Furniture. On July 8, between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole money from a wallet that was located in an office desk drawer.

3164 Campbell Drive / Kings Towing. Sometime between July 7 and July 8, several items were stolen from a vehicle that had been towed to the storage lot.

<cal1>Stolen Auto

<cal2>3300 block of Ginger Tree Court. Sometime between July 4 and July 5, unknown person(s) stole a white 1998 Plymouth from the driveway of a residence. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

<cal1>Vandalism

<cal2>10407 Lee Highway / Fair Oaks Dodge. On July 1, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged the paint on a vehicle parked at the dealership.

10200 block of Aspen Willow Drive. Sometime between July 2 and July 3, unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle parked in front of a residence.

4100 block of Oxford Lane. Sometime between July 1 and July 4, unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle parked at a residence.

3705 Old Lee Highway / Daniels Run Elementary School. Sometime between July 7 and July 8, unknown person(s) cut the chain that held the ball field’s gate closed.

9470 Arlington Blvd. / Staples. Sometime between July 7 and July 8, unknown person(s) stray painted graffiti on the side of the building and a trailer parked in the lot.
